I completed nursing school in 2012 after working as a high school teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. When I first transitioned to nursing, I worked on a pediatric behavioral health unit and as a school nurse. I then broadened my experience by working on medical and surgical specialties units, ending my nursing tenure at the University of Chicago Medicine.

I obtained my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018 in Family Nurse Practice and returned in 2020 to finish my post-DNP certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practice, which I completed in 2022. Since 2023, I have worked as an adjunct clinical instructor for the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Nursing.

Starting the summer of 2022, I worked as an FNP at a nonprofit organization, serving young adults and adults by providing mobile health in a variety of settings. In addition, in 2023I began providing mental health services and developing our mental health service model.

I see a variety of patients including those with serious mental illness and substance use disorders, as well as teens and young adults with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.

I tailor my approach to the individual by considering their current needs and future goals. I use a strengths-based approach and form a partnership to createa treatment plan including medication, therapy and beyond.

I enjoyspending my free time with my husband, family, friends and rescue dogs and enjoy gardening, hiking and dabbling in the arts, including painting, ceramics and weaving.
