My name is Rob Petsche and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, life changes and challenges.
I help by working and having a collaborative relationship with clients where they can feel heard, independent, empowered and become their own agent of change and growth. I want clients to know they are treated in a safe, confidential, objective and challenging way. I have worked in a variety of settings creating vast opportunities for growth, knowledge, wisdom and experience.
I view my approach as integrative. I do utilize EMDR, CBT, DBT and other modalities. I want the client to realize they are in charge and I am ultimately working along with them to help facilitate their growth. In an ideal session, the client will be speaking about 90% of the time. My aim is to have every client realize they have courage, wisdom and strength within them.
I view myself as a lifelong learner and want to have that outlook to support, encourage and challenge others to strive for their own progress. In our first few sessions, you can expect new perspectives and awareness of self and others through the therapeutic process. I want to have you gain feelings of independence, empowerment and assertiveness.
