I earned my Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School in 2024. I have worked closely with incarcerated women, an experience that shaped my clinical lens. Through this work, I gained insight into the complex intersections of trauma, systemic inequality, gender-based expectations, and survival behaviors that often influence pathways into the criminal legal system.
My clinical perspective is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic theory, while being informed by Feminist theory. I view Feminist therapy as an essential lens for understanding power dynamics, societal conditioning, relational patterns, and the impact of oppression on mental health.
I believe therapy should not only explore internal experiences but also acknowledge the broader social and cultural systems that shape them. At the same time, I recognize the powerful role that mindfulness, spirituality, and psychoeducation play in the healing process. I believe meaningful change happens when structured therapeutic approaches are thoughtfully integrated with self-awareness, personal insight, and a deeper connection to purpose.
