My primary goal while working with someone is to provide a safe, judgement free environment which allows them to feel comfortable exploring who they are and grow into who they want to be. I believe the client knows themselves best, and I will work with the client every step of the way to determine what is going to help them grow into the person they want to become.

I work hard to provide a culturally informed, queer friendly, sex positive and a trauma-informed approach to counseling. Because of this, I am very open to receiving feedback from my clients while in session, so I can provide a space of growth and empowerment where they can feel comfortable.

I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in substance use. I am now licensed as a t-LMHC in the state of Iowa. Prior to my Master’s, I earned my Bachelor’s of Art in psychology and criminal justice.

In counseling, I work with individuals ages 6 years old and up. I am willing to work with clients with a wide variety of concerns. My specialty areas of treatment include depression, anxiety, body image concerns, trauma, substance abuse, and adjustment disorders. In practice, I operate from a client-centered approach and integrate approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), play therapy, and a variety of others to find the best fit for the client.
